No Carbon Credits! The UN Has Lost The Plot!
- 1st Topic of the Week: With the news this week that the UN is suggesting that companies should not be allowed to use carbon credits and offsets to meet emission goals, we see another global entity showing a complete lack of both the practical realities of emission abatement and economics.

Exhibit 1: The EU carbon trading system may be the best model today, but prices have fallen to levels that are unlikely to drive action, and the futures market is not encouraging. In our view, the price needs to be above € 100.
